Mando group creates site to help protect our planet.
Mando Group have created a website for Electro Collect which will help reduce landfill levels.

Does your business know how to dispose of electrical waste? Many businesses out there don’t!
With an estimated 2 million tonnes of electrical waste filling our landfill sites each year a solution was needed. So to make our lives easier the family run business that created Electro Collect can now assist you to help protect our planet.
The Waste Electrical Electronic Equipment directive covers any piece of waste or unwanted equipment that is powered by a battery or electrical plug. It was introduced in an attempt to reduce the amount of electrical waste heading to Landfill in the UK and the EU; and came into effect on 1st July 2007.
Electro Collect was established to provide businesses with an easy and entirely complaint solution for recycling electrical waste. The site has been designed to offer you a service and as much support/advice as you need when disposing of your electrical waste.
Electro Collect approached Mando Group, Liverpool’s leading web development consultancy, to design a site for their new concept. In order to make a success of the new site, it firstly needed to hammer home the seriousness of the problem, increase awareness and explain the service that Electro Collect offers. Secondly it needed a simple and easy-to-use interface, so customers can clearly select the items that need disposing of and make an enquiry.
Mark Penketh, Creator of Electro Collect commented:
“We saw a gap in the market and a need for something to be done about disposing electrical waste and came up with the idea.”
He went on to say
“Due to the complicated WEEE directive we needed a site that would be uncomplicated, easy to understand and user friendly, and we are thrilled with the site that Mando Group has designed.”
Ian Finch, Director of Mando Group commented:
“It’s been a dream project for us in many ways; firstly we were working with a client with a clear brief and business case in which they already had the team in place to make it happen. Secondly the trust was given to us, to take on the brand, design, technology and integration development.”
Finally Ian went on to say:
“This is a true partnership where we will be able to grow the business together, adding features and services to the offer as we will build the online brand.”
